Provincial Grand Lodge – 19th November 2016

Posted by admin under News

And what a day it was! The Provincial Grand Master welcomed no less than 90 distinguished visitors to a very happy meeting where he was pleased to invest his new Provincial team. We are all delighted that RW Bro. Roger is making a steady recovery and continues to rule over a very happy Province. He was pleased to re-appoint both his Deputy and Assistant even though he did pause wittily for reflection before confirming W.Bro. Phil “Horatio” Wills as the Deputy!

The two new Wardens are the irrepressible Ashmore twins and thank goodness only John now has a moustache! As a confession, when I acted as Senior Deacon at their Advancement, I sneakily placed a post it note on each one’s back so I could tell the difference, Happy to get that one off my chest! The Overseers are Mick Tarrant, who served so well for many years as part of the DC’s team; the outgoing Registrar, Neil Murray and last but not least, Neal Watkin. An all new DC’s team led by the sharpest dresser in the Province, W.Bro Andrew Armbrister with Howard Smith as his Deputy and permanent ADC2 Tony Ball as well as myself to add comedy value. (Thanks Boss!)

Next years meeting will be held at the same venue on the 18th November 2017 under the banners of the Shakespeare Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.40TI and the Temperance Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.629. As in previous years I was in attendance to shoot the pictures of the incoming Provincial Team and if anyone wants a print, email me and I’ll sort it out. Prints in mounts are only £10.00 each.
