Provincial Grand Lodge – Our new PGM

Posted by Martin Grahame-Dunn under Mark & RAM Events, News

Well Brethren, what a fantastic day! Over 250 Mark Master Masons gathered today at the Heart of England Conference Centre to celebrate the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge and to Install our three distinguished rulers. The day started with sterling rehearsals, first under the guidance of our own Provincial GDC, W.Bro.Andrew Armbrister (later promoted to Past Provincial Grand Senior Warden) who drilled the team admirably, followed by R.W.Bro.Frank Spencer the Grand DC who marshalled his team to perfection in preparation for the entrance of the Most Worshipful Pro Grand Master.

Provincial Grand Lodge was opened in form by one of our own, Most Worshipful Past Pro Grand Master Richard Wallis with his deputy Presiding Officer, R.W.Bro.David Rawlins, one of our Past Provincial Grand Masters. Apparently this is the first time that MW Bro.Richard has had the opportunity to open Provincial Grand Lodge and then another first, two Most Worshipful Brethren working at the same meeting!

The Grand DC’s team giving a series of wonderful proclamations to the delight of an impressed gathering. Everything done in dusted in record time after which we all sat down to a hearty lunch.

Wine takings, toasts and speeches done, the end to another day of marvellous Mark Masonry in our wonderful Degree. Onwards and upwards for Warwickshire.
