SKITTLES MARK versus CRAFT – A Poem & Pictures 22/1/17

Posted by Martin Grahame-Dunn under Mark & RAM Events, News, Poetry
THE ANNUAL EVENT WAS HELD TODAY
WHEN THE MARK AND CRAFT DID SKITTLES PLAY
EACH ATTENDING WITH THEIR TEAM
SEEKING TO ACHIEVE THEIR DREAM

THE SHIELD OF HONOUR TO BE WON
IN A MANNER DEEMED TO BE CLASSED AS FUN
HOWEVER WHEN THE RESULT WAS MADE KNOWN
NO EVIDENCE OF THE SCORES WAS SHOWN

DAVID MACEY GRACIOUS AND WITH GOOD GRACE
ACCEPTED THE OUTCOME WITHOUT LOSING FACE
PRESENTING THE SHIELD TO ROGER MAC
DETERMINED NEXT YEAR TO WIN IT BACK

ROGER AND DAVID THANKED ALL PRESENT
ALL IN ACCORD NONE IN DISSENT
FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT ON THE DAY
A DAY OF ENJOYMENT IN EVERY WAY

WITH THANKS AGAIN TO THE ORGANISERS
BEHIND THE SCENES THE EARLY RISERS
WHO MADE THE DAY FOR THE REST OF US
ONE OF A MINIMUM OF STRESS AND FUSS

WE HOPE ALL WHO ATTENDED ENJOYED THE DAY
OF MASONIC FRIENDSHIP IN EVERY WAY
PLEASE MAKE A NOTE TO RETURN NEXT YEAR
TO MEET WITH FRIENDS WHO YOU HOLD DEAR

Fraternising with the ‘competition’? Andre, how could you!

A tactical discussion going on? Or is it, “Who want’s another drink?”
