Yenton & Central Keystone Lodge amalgamation meeting – 6th November

Posted by Martin Grahame-Dunn under Mark & RAM Events, News

Our Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge, W.Bro.Phil Wills has made his first visit since taking over the reins to the amalgamation meeting of the Yenton & Central Keystone Lodges of Mark Master Masons which also ‘Marks’ 50 years in the Degree for W.Bro.Robert Newton. W.Bro,Robert was Initiated in Scotland in 1966 and Advanced into the Mark Degree in 1967. W.Bro.Andrew Armbrister, the Provincial GDC gave an impressive proclamation following the customary and very interesting ‘fireside chat’ with out PGM designate. With over 50 Mark Mason’s present including a large number of acting Provincial Officers in attendance, it was a great meeting.

The other major highlight of the evening was to install W.Bro.David Greenwood into the Chair of Adoniram. David is well known to many of us as a two year Past Warden in The Craft. A very popular Mason indeed. The ceremony was carried out in a most delightful and sincere manner by W.Bro.Vinod Dalal, much to the enjoyment of all present.

W.Bro.Phil was also delighted to present the newly combined Lodge with a Grand Patron Gold Award collar to the Lodge in recognition of their years of contribution to the MBF. The evening was presided over by our Assistant PGM and Deputy designate, W.Bro.Mike Saxon told the assembled throng at the Festive Board that an amount in excess of £500 was raised for the WMBF at our annual bonfire and fireworks at Cedric’s farm. Great food, superb hospitality and the usual happy pre-festive season cheer was evident.

Last but not least, there were two joining members proposed and a charity collection of £200 which rounded off another marvellous Mark meeting. All present enjoyed W.Bro.Chris Rogers toast to the Master too! This is also the first post containing a gallery of images for your enjoyment. Please let us know what you think.

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the forthcoming monumental Provincial Meeting on the 18th!
